Etymology (PE): Bâzicé, from bâzi “game, play;” Mid.Pers. wâzig “play, game;” related to bâzidan “to play,” bâxtan “to loose;” cf. Skt. vāja- “contest, war, prize, booty;” + -cé suffix of relation.
